Steak Salad

Ingredients
- 1 Yellow Onion 3 ounces grape tomatoes

wheat bread 2 sirloin steaks 2 teaspoons garlic rub seasoning 1 ounce honey 1 cup walnut halves �-ounce dijon mustard � uid ounce Red Wine Vinegar 1 ounce Blue cheese Peel and halve onion.

Halve grape tomatoes.

Chop romaine.

Cut bread into 1" cubes.

Rinse steaks, pat dr y, and season both sides with garlic rub of choice.

Heat 1 teaspoon olive oil in pan on medium heat.

Add onions and cook until light brown, 8-10 minutes.

Add honey and cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are deep brown, 5-6 minutes.

Season with a pinch of salt.

Add walnuts to clean, dr y, pan on medium heat.

Toast, stirring often, until lightly browned and "nutty" smelling, 3-5 minutes.

Remove from pan.

Add 1 Tablespoon olive oil, increasing heat to medium-high, then add cubed bread, stirring frequently till golden brown, 3-4 minutes.

Season to taste with salt and pepper and set aside.

Add 1 teaspoon olive oil and steaks to hot pan and sear until steaks reach a minimum internal temperature of 145�F, 4-5 minutes per side.

Transfer to cutting board and let rest 5 minutes before slicing into �" slices.

W hisk together Dijon mustard, red wine vinegar, and 2 Tablespoons olive oil in a medium mixing bowl.

Add romaine lettuce, walnuts, blue cheese, and tomatoes.

Toss to combine and season to taste with salt and peper.

Pile a bed of dressed salad on a plate.

Arrange steak slices over salad and garnish with croutons and carmelized onions.
