Original Toll House Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 ¼ cup unsifted flour
• ¾ cup granulated sugar
• 1 tsp baking soda
• ¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup softened butter or marg.
• 2 eggs
• 12 oz chocolate chips
• 1 cup chopped nuts(optional)

   Preheat oven to 375. Sift flour, baking soda, and salt together in small bowl and set aside. Combine everything else except eggs and beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes.
