Strawberry Syrup

Ingredients
- 16 oz (450 grams) fresh strawberries or 12 oz (340 g)
Instructions

frozen strawberries cup (67 g) white sugar � cup (60 mL) water Cut green tops o of washed fresh strawberries.

Cut the strawberries into small pieces with a shar p knife.

Put strawberries and cup sugar into a medium saucepan.

Stir ever ything together with a wooden spoon.

If your berries are fresh add � cup water.

If your berries are frozen add 2 Tablespoons water.

Heat the saucepan on medium-high on your stovetop.

Wait until plenty of bubbles boil up in the pot, then turn the heat down to medium.

Keep boiling on medium heat for another 6 minutes.

Turn the stovetop o and remove the saucepan from the heat.

Let the syrup cool for about 15 minutes on a trivet or potholder.
