� cup Butter � cup shortening 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 cups our 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans 6 tablespoons confectioners' sugar Cream butter, shortening, and vanilla; stir in our and nuts.

Shape in small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400� about 10 minutes.

Roll in confectioners' sugar while still warm.

Store overnight before ser ving.

Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
